This theme places special attention on children’s hearing health<\/strong>, highlighting the need for children, from communities to classrooms, to have access to ear and hearing care<\/strong>. The aim is to ensure that no child is left behind because of a hearing problem<\/strong>, promoting prevention, early detection and timely treatment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Why is this focus on childhood so important?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

According to the WHO, millions of school-age children around the world live with hearing loss that often is not detected or treated in time<\/strong>. This problem can seriously affect language development, communication, learning and social participation if it is not addressed early.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
